Province Announces Investment of $1.6 Million towards Newcomer Success in The Ottawa Region.

Ontario is investing 1.6 million dollars to aide newcomers to the Ottawa region. The Ottawa Community Loan Fund, along with Algonquin College, The Catholic Immigration Centre and The Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks is a proud leader of this initiative, as announced by Ontario Citizenship and Immigration Minister Mike Colle, who added the following:

“Our prosperity depends on the successful integration of newcomers. We will continue to break down barriers for newcomers by putting in place supports and services that allow newcomers to work in their fields

The Ottawa Community Loan Fund will use its share of the investment ($40,000) to create loans and supports, so that internationally trained individuals can complete their accreditation. Information on our Internationally Trained Talent Finance Initiative (ITTFI) can be obtained by visiting our web site.
